Professor Sang Yong Kim publishes business students’ must-read book “Business Keywords 101”

“Business Keywords 101” covers the fundamentals of each business area, ranging from △General business △Management, △Operations, △Strategy, △Marketing, △Finance·Accounting, etc., that CEOs as well as jobseekers and businessmen must know about. In addition, as the book includes business episodes and quotations from legendary CEOs and business scholars, readers who first encounter the book can easily understand the contents. The book has been reviewed as “the dictionary of business concept.” It elaborates key information in everyday expressions that non-business majors should also know in this age of information overflow.
Professor Kim said, “We are currently living in the “society of excessive information” where it is difficult to figure out which information is useful to us.” He added, “If you are struggling in the flood of information due to lack of business fundamentals, I hope that reading this book will act as a rescue tube to help you survive.”
Professor Sang Yong Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a bachelor’s degree in Western History. Later, he earned an MBA degree at Carnegie Mellon University and Ph.D. in Marketing at Duke University. Prior to working at Korea University since 2001, Professor Kim was a professor at Hallym University and KAIST. At Korea University, he served as △Vice President for Development and External Affairs and △Associate Dean of MBA Program. He is currently Program Director of AMP. Professor Kim also served as Editor-in-Chief of “Asia Marketing Journal” from 2013 to 2014 and president of Services Marketing Association in 2015. He has recently elected as president of Korean Marketing Association for a term of two years starting April 2017. In addition to that, a radio program “Three Minutes Radio MBA” on KBS1 radio channel and a TV program “Professor Kim Sang Yong’s What Do You Think?” on KPBS channel were hosted by the professor.
