Launch of S3 Asia MBA Alumni Association…the inaugural meeting was held as well

The inaugural meeting of S³ Asia MBA (“AMBA” henceforth) Alumni Association was launched at the Cuckoo Hall of LG-POSCO Building on January 27 (Wed) at 7:00 PM. Approximately 40 people, including MBA Associate Dean Myeong-Hyeon Cho, Professor Seungwoo Kwon, Professor Jaehwan Kim, new AMBA Area Chair Jaiho Chung, and AMBA alumni graced the occasion with their presence.
Associate Dean Myeong-Hyeon Cho said, “AMBA, marking its 8th anniversary, is the ‘Flagship MBA’ in the hub of Asia.” He added, “I extend my warmest congratulations on the launch of the AMBA Alumni Association and also would like to thank those who have helped us establishing this association.” With the 6th class of AMBA, the program has produced a total of 171 AMBA graduates, including international alumni.
The meeting, hosted by alumnus Daeyoung Lee (the 1st class of AMBA), consists of the presentation on the purpose of the association and its progress reports. Afterwards, alumni were evaluated for consideration to become the Board of Directors. As results, alumnus Bae-Hyun Lee (the 1st class of AMBA), Head of Management Support at SK Lubricants, was chosen to serve as the first president, while alumnus Dongui Son (the 3rd class of AMBA) became the vice president. △Alumnus Daeyoung Lee, △Alumnus Ki-Tae Park (the 4th class of AMBA), and △Alumnus Unhyeong Nam (the 7th class of AMBA) will serve as managers, and representatives from each class were appointed as well. Professor Yong Keun Yoo, who has been leading AMBA for 4 years, and new Area Chair Jaiho Chung became advisors of the association.

“I greatly appreciate all of your support and encouragement,” said Bae-Hyun Lee, the first president of the AMBA Alumni Association, in his inaugural address. “We will strive to provide networking opportunities for alumni all over the world and make them engage with the association."
Meanwhile, association rules will be established this year, and a monthly social gathering, such as △golf △seminars △movies and performances will also be organized in order to bring harmony between alumni.
