On November 12, Korea University Business School (Dean=Dong-One Kim) held “the 1st KUBS Regular Tour and Teen Gathering.” Around 40 first/second year high school students attended the event hosted by KUBE, Student Ambassadors at Korea University Business School. “We organized this event in order to help our prospective juniors aspiring to major in Business Administration and to increase the interest toward KUBS,” said Yunji Kim (Business 13), KUBE president.
In the first session, two ambassadors from KUBE, Heon-Young Lee (Business 12) and Jisu Kim (Business 14), introduced the KUBS history, vision and status. Afterwards, “Introduction to Seven Areas of Business Administration” were presented by student ambassadors, Hwi-Seo Chu (Business 12) and Jin-Wook Park (Business 12). They explained how the knowledge in business administration can be utilized in the process of “Planning-Production-Sale” when Xiaomi power bank chargers are delivered to customers. High school students were actively involved in answering the pop quiz questions, and some of them showed their passion by taking notes.
After the first session, students took part in a campus tour to visit △KUBS Main Hall △LG-POSCO Building △Hyundai Motor Hall, learning specific details about the halls. In addition, they also accomplished the missions while touring the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus.
The third session was held in a study room, Hyundai Motor Hall. Students, grouped into teams, had an opportunity to share their school life and future while eating Korea University Bread. “I am going to study hard and become a KUBS student just like our team leader,” said the participant Dong-Joon Kim (2nd year student at Sorabol High School). “Hopefully, more events for teens will be created in the future.”
Starting “the 1st KUBS Regular Tour and Teen Gathering,” KUBS will be providing a regular tour every month. Students who are interested in participating in the event can contact KUBS Public Relations (kubspr@adm.korea.ac.kr). By opening the “Teen Mentoring Day” event, KUBS will continue to communicate with a broad range of prospective students aspiring to become a KUBS student.
