Since the 1990s, Korean TV dramas and pop music have gained popularity outside of South Korea in neighbouring Asian countries like China and Japan. Called the Korean Wave, or Hallyu by the mid-2000s, Korean pop culture's success was accelerating with Korean cultural exports like television programmes, pop music, films, games and fashion being dispersed far and wide.
Today, South Korea is a destination known for not just its vibrant cultural scene, but also for international students looking to start their careers with an MBA from a top business school.
