New tigers embark on their journey at KUBS
 
 
The 2016 KUBS New Student Orientation was held in the auditorium of Woodang Hall on February 22 at 2:00 PM. KUBS Dean Dong-One Kim, staff members, and approximately 250 freshmen (Entering Class of 2016) made their presence at the orientation designed to introduce students to the curriculum and academic guideline.
 
The orientation started off with an opening address and congratulatory speech by Dean Dong-One Kim. Afterwards, the explanatory sessions were provided as follows: △Department Offices, △International Programs, △CDC Programs, △Scholarships, △Leave of Absence/Return to School and Graduation, △Curriculum, △Course Registration, etc. In his congratulatory speech, Dean Dong-One Kim said, “I hope new students continue the legacy of innovation with KUBS, Korea’s first Business School established in 1905.” He added, “Enjoy your study and take pride in your campus life.”
 
In addition, a number of special lectures were given in the middle of the orientation. Students had the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge through the special lectures, which are “Finance Stories College Students Should Know” by Financial Supervisory Service and “Integrating Gender Equality into Campus Life” by Gender Equality Center. Jingu Lee (Management, ’16), one of the 2016 Freshmen Class, said, “It was great to know a variation of programs available at KUBS.” He added, “I wish to actively utilize the Integrated Undergraduate/Master’s Program to make my campus life even more fruitful.
 
The total number of 2016 KUBS new students is 429, including 67 international students. KUBS international students are from various countries, including △Brunei, △China, △Iran, △Egypt, △Indonesia, △Sweden, △Canada, etc. Under the slogan “Business for Society – Inspiring New Leaders,” KUBS aims to produce global leaders fulfilling their social responsibility.”
