The Euro-Asia Doctorate in Business Administration jointly operated by KUBS, KEDGE in France, and PolyU in Hong Kong

The EA-DBA Opening Ceremony was held at the Cuckoo Hall of LG-POSCO Building on January 21 at 7:00 PM. KUBS Dean Dong-One Kim, KEDGE Business School Associate Dean Guy Marcillat, PolyU Associate Dean Phamsy Hui, AXA Chief Executive Officer Francois Lecomte, SK Research Institute for SUPEX Management Vice President Yongseop Eom, and eight new EA-DBA students were in attendance.
“The in-class seminars started this week consist academic theories and professional practices simultaneously and also covers current issues in management,” stated Dean Dong-One Kim in his congratulatory speech. “Students can acquire rational and strategic management mindset and active attitude to cope with a fast-paced corporate environment.” Guy Marcillat, Associate Dean, said, “I am truly delighted to work with Korea University where world-class professors and educational infrastructures are well-developed.” He added, “As many students wish to work in Asian companies including Korea, EA-DBA program will be exceptionally beneficial to them.”
The Euro-Asia DBA Program is a doctorate program delivered by KUBS in conjunction with KEDGE Business School in France and Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s Faculty of Business. The DBA (Doctorate in Business Administration) will be conferred by KEDGE Business School at the conclusion of the three-year program.
The EA-DBA Program divides into two phases. Participants join management seminars in Seoul, France, and Hong Kong for a year and a half to obtain cosmopolitan perspectives. Then, they write their doctoral dissertation based on their seminar experiences in direct consortium with their dissertation supervisor. The topics of all doctoral dissertations are expected be field practices utilizing methodology, such as empirical analysis and case studies.
