Korea University Business School is well-known for having the top faculty in Korea. As of fall 2015 semester, KUBS has a total of 112 faculty members, including 86 full-time professors, 7 invited professors, 5 adjunct professors, 6 joint appointment professors, 7 research professors, and 1 visiting professor. The college, having the largest number of professors of all colleges in Korea, offers seven major academic disciplines as follows: △Management △International Business △Marketing △Accounting △Finance △LSOM △MIS.
KUBS faculty consists of world-class scholars who have earned their doctorate degree from the most prestigious business school from all over the world, such as Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, Stanford University, MIT, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge, and served as a professor at leading school worldwide.
The faculty members have been constantly publishing papers in world-renowned journals, proving their remarkable research capacities. KUBS actively supports faculty research in order to encourage them to publish papers in the world’s top journals, and as results, the faculty secures excellent research competitiveness.
In “The UTD Worldwide Top 100 Business School Rankings,” KUBS ranked No. 91 worldwide and No. 1 in Korea. The rankings is an annual evaluation report conducted by the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), and the college has been maintaining its high position after entering the top 100 in 2011.
UTD Rankings is an index that tracks publications in 24 leading business journals. Furthermore, it is used as a key index of international agencies for university evaluation by including all prestigious business journals in the database.
“Beyond being best in Korea, KUBS research capacity already has reached the global standards,” said KUBS Dean Dong-One Kim. “We will attract professors with an outstanding research capacity and lecturing skills, and provide full support to conduct high-quality studies.
Meanwhile, KUBS will continue to recruit professors with an excellent research capacity and lecturing skills to pursue its vision of “Global Top 30, Asia No. 1 Business School by 2030.”
