Grant Awarding Ceremony for the 2nd semester of 2014

Grant Awarding ceremony for the second semester was held on November 27th, 2:00 P.M. at the LG-POSCO An Young Il Hall. For this ceremony, Dean of KUBS Dong-One Kim, Alumni Association Senior Vice-President Jaejung Shim, President of Namchon Foundation Chulgi Choi, Director of KCC Yoonseok Kang, Vice President of Class of '82 Taejin Kim, and 80 Business School students who would be receiving scholarships attended.
There are total of 14 different scholarships available this term and a total of 85 students have received the following scholarships. Those are: Teokdae scholarships (1 person), Freshmen Grants (8 people), GS Construction Grant (12 people), KCC scholarships (4 people), Class of 82 Grant (1 person), Soam Scholarship and etc. (59 people)
During the opening ceremony, Dong-One Kim, Dean of Business school, said "we sincerely appreciate the contribution that will give upmost support to our KUBS students.” He also added that “all students receiving the grant should try their best to become someone who can contribute to the society’s development."
Whidam Moon (Business 09) who received Teokdae scholarship said "All of my thanks goes to KU, and the professors for providing me with knowledge. I will give my best to meet with the standards and put my greatest efforts into my studies.”
Based on the 2014 report, a total of 73.9% of KUBS students have received and benefited from scholarships.
