The next landmark to represent KUBS since the LG-POSCO Building
Hyundai Motor Hall is revealing its form as it nears completion. Since the groundbreaking ceremony in July 30, 2010, construction is finally coming to an end after about 3 years. It is a building that will represent KUBS in addition to the LG-POSCO Building.
The areas can be divided into 2300 pyung on the upper floors, 2380 pyung on the basement floors with a total of 4680 pyung. The floors are divided into 5 upper floors and 4 basement floors, coming out to a total of 9 floors, which include 28 Faculty Rooms, 16 Lecture Rooms, 50 Group Study Rooms, and 1050 Locker Rooms.
With a garden being planted on the rooftop, a greenbelt on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and a ceiling and 2 walls that have been designed to let in as much sunlight as possible, the building is expected to provide a resting area reminiscent of nature to students, along with a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) System that optimizes energy efficiency.
KUBS Dean Doo-Hee Lee said, “The Hyundai Motor Hall is a building that was built 100% through donations and it is the result of the strong support of the donors for KUBS” and “We consider the generous love and support of the donors as a request to contribute to the development of the community, the nation, and humanity. We promise to become a globally recognized business school in the future.
