First and only university in Korea to rank top 20s
Tremendous achievement after being the first domestic university to rank 95th in UTD Top 100 Ranking in spring 2011
Korea University Business School Executive MBA Program was ranked 23rd in Global E-MBA Ranking presented by Financial Times (FT).
According to the ranking announced by FT on Oct. 24, KU was placed in the same rank as NUS (National University of Singapore) and U.C. Berkeley, and was ranked higher than Columbia University, Cornell University, University of Michigan, and etc. There are only two MBA programs in Korea, KUBS and Yonsei University, which were ranked in the top 100; Corporate MBA of Yonsei University was ranked as 57th.
FT selects 100 universities worldwide, and ranks them based on the faculty publication, globalization index, female faculty ratio, a survey for graduates regarding pay raise rate, and etc once a year. The survey is conducted in every July to university graduates of June, and the final ranking is presented in October after the survey is complete.
KUBS E-MBA obtained high scores in the graduates' career progress that includes current pay level and pay raise rate, and also received positive evaluation on the faculty publication accomplishment.
Established as the first Korean executive MBA program in 2003, KUBS E-MBA is the weekend program that provides an intensive high quality education for the CEOs and executives who aim to be CEO in the near future.
Having 'Global Best 50 by 2015' as the slogan of Global 50 Vision, KUBS stayed as the top business school in Korea by being ranked No. 1 in many external evaluations for past few years.
Being reaccredited by the world's renowned accreditation organizations, AACSB (United States) and EQUIS (Europe), for 5 years, KUBS was globally recognized as the top business school in Korea. Also, KUBS joined the 'UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings' which is based on the number of papers published in 24 leading business journals, and proved its global excellence in research capacity.
In addition, KUBS ranked 1st for 3 consecutive years from 2008 in 'Korean Business School Evaluation Survey' which was made to HR managers of 200 companies.
Jin Kyu Lee, Dean of KUBS, said "this result shows our goal in Global 50 Vision has come closer to its accomplishment, and we will continue to do our best to develop further KUBS MBA programs including E-MBA."
