Scholarship of 100 million won from Alumni Association at KPMG Samjong acconunting firm
Alumni association at KPMG Samjung accounting firm (President= Seung Yeol Yang, Business ’83) made contribution of 100 million won for development of Korea University.
This donation was made by a total of 230 KU alumni accountants at KPMG Samjong accounting firm. They pledged to contribute 20 million won every year for 5 years, 100 million won in total. The funds will be sourced to support future accountants.
President Seung Yeol, Yang mentioned “We wish the students to study in a better educational environment and become accountants who lead our society. We hope we would be able to make contributions to support Korea University’s further improvement.”
Yi, Han Sang, Area Chair of Jung-Jin-Cho (精進礎), the CPA preparation class commented, “Korea University was able to stand out by 118 students passing the exam in the 2016 CPA exam, thanks to the great support from the alumni association.” He went on, "The fund donated by KPMG Samjong accounting firm will be used to train future accountants from Korea University.”
