[Special Lecture] Choi Dongjun, Barclays UK Managing Director/Strategic Analyst
On April 15, a lecture by Choi Dongjun, Managing Director/Strategic Analysis of Barclays UK, was given at Hyundai Motor Hall, Room 412. Barclays is a British-based global financial services company.
The lecture was held under the theme of "Transition of Customer Participation Using Data Science and MarTech," with some 20 students attending. Choi gave a lecture in order of △Introduction of Barclays △Introduction of his job at Barclays △Q&A session.
Introducing his job – Strategic Analystics — he explained, "I study how data is applied to the business area, and I analyze data using MARTech so that it can be used in target marking." "Martech" is a combination of “marketing” and “technology” that uses measurements based on technological analysis.
"The most important role of any team is to analyze customer contact strategies to predict their behavior," he added. "It is important to select a large amount of data and analyze the individual characteristics of customers, even if they have the same demand, to avoid any errors of generalization."
After the lecture, a 15-minute question-and-answer session continued, and Choi spared no details and advice to the students' questions.
