‘The 38th KUBS Night of the Alumni’ festival successfully done
'The 38th KUBS Night of the Alumni' hosted by the KUBS Alumni(President = 정몽원·Business School Class of 74) was held in Grand Intercontinental Hotel Seoul Parnas Grand Ballroom on December 6 (Thu). KUBS Alumni President 정몽원(Business School Class of 74), Alumni Senior Vice-president 김인(Business School Class of 68) , Dean of Business School Jae Wook Kim, KUBS Professor Emeritus, incumbent professors and about 600 alumni attended the event and graced the occasion with their presence.
KUBS Alumni President 정몽원 began his greeting by addressing “I hope that Night of the Alumni goes beyond an event where we share friendship and continues to a strong support to our university's growth” and that “Next year, I hope Korea University develops even more”.

Following this, the Alumni Senior Vice-president 김인 passed on his greetings on behalf of Korea University Alumni 이학수. He said “KUBS started from plutology of the Boseong College and is the only college that has 113 years of history together” and added that “I would like to thank each and every alumni who have dedicated to our university with unstinting love and support”. Next, an academic report of introducing the status and major news of KUBS along with a session of sharing the vision and strategy of KUBS by the Dean of Business School, Jae Wook Kim, was held. He made an academic report for this year by saying “I would like to kindly ask many alumni to give support to our university so that it can take an active part in the international stage”.

A plaque of appreciation was given to the Class of 92 which hosted last year's event. Class of 93, the host of this year's event delivered one hundred and three million five hundred and sixty thousand won to our university during the scholarship fund delivery ceremony. The scholarship fund will be used as scholarship for students.

An achievement award was presented to 37 alumni who provided a great deal of effort and support for activation of the Alumni. Also, a special award was given to 'Business School 809' group composed of presidents from each Business School class of the 1980's. The 'Alumni of the Year' award ceremony was also held for the alumnus who showed remarkable activities across the society for this year. The winners of ‘Alumni of the Year’ awards were 허경수(Business School Class of 75) Cosmo Group President CEO, 최수규(Business School Class of 79) Vice-minister of Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

After all award ceremonies, alumni enjoyed performances and banquet. 김현욱(Spanish Language Class of 92) announcer acted as a compere and the cheerleaders of Korea University added more heat to the event. A vocal music performance by 신호섭(Business School Class of 85), a performance of U Square from 유용창(Business School Class of 85) alumni's family band, and a magic show from magician 오은영 entertained the event even more.
Meanwhile, the Night of the Alumni event is held every Thursday of the first week in December which began in 1982. Made for the integration and friendship of alumni who have affection towards KUBS, the event has continued until its 38th host this year.
