‘The 7th KUBS Teen Mentoring Day’ for Future KUBS Students
Special Sessions including Business Administration Lecture, Workshop and Mentoring
Participants of 80 High School Students in Korea

On July 28th, KUBS opened ‘The 7th KUBS Teen Mentoring Day’ for future KUBS students. Organized and hosted by KUBS Student Ambassador ‘KUBE’, the Teen Mentoring Day event invites second year high school students in Korea. After a competitive document screening process, a total of 83 students were shortlisted as the participants. KUBS Associate Dean Jaehwan Kim welcomed the participants by saying, “Welcome, everyone. It is nice to see your enthusiastic and confident looks. I hope to see you again after a couple of years on campus.”
The Teen Mentoring Day event is designed for high school students who are interested in business administration. The event provides a special lecture and workshop on business administration for the participants’ deeper understanding in the area of study. Professor Joon Ho Hwang held a special lecture ‘A Brief Overview of Business Administration’ where he focused on the specialized areas in business administration. Professor Hwang gave an insightful advice for the audience’s career planning as well.
After the special lecture, the event proceeded with △KUBS campus life and an overview of seven majors in business administration △Campus tour △Business administration workshop △Mentoring session with KUBS students. One of the participants, Dam-Hyun Roh (Beomeo High School, 2nd year) commented, “I was really hoping to be a part of the mentoring day event. I am glad that I came to KUBS today. I had such a great time asking questions I had about my future study.”

KUBS will hold the Teen Mentoring Day event each summer and winter vacation for high school students who would like to study business administration. Won-Bin Kim (Business ‘14), one of the KUBE student who organized the event, said “The high school students looked quite happy, learning more about business administration. It was nice to see them enjoying the mentoring session. I look forward to the next events.”
‘The 8th KUBS Teen Mentoring Day’ will be held during the winter vacation. Participation is completely free for all participants.
