“Global CEO Special Lecture” Course by Etienne Rolland-Piègue, First Counsellor of French Embassy in Korea
On April 27 (Thu), Etienne Rolland-Piègue, first counsellor of French Embassy in Korea, delivered a lecture in room 432 of LG-POSCO Building. The lecture, titled “Economic and Management Studies in France,” covered an overview of promising economists by generation and an introduction to graduate schools of Economics and Business in France.
“Among 25 brightest young economists selected by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), seven are alumni of a French graduate school,” First Counsellor Rolland-Piègue said. “In order to become a worldwide economist, I suggest you to enroll in a graduate school of Economics in France.” He emphasized that a French graduate school offers a more efficient MBA curriculum than a U.S. graduate school, as well as providing practical education.
At the end of the lecture, the first counsellor mentioned Korean economist W. Chan Kim who is a professor at INSEAD. “Anyone can become a worldwide economist like Professor Kim if they work hard,” he added. “If you are interested in Mathematics and Economics, I recommend you to study Economics.”
