Spring 2016 KMBA Field Trip
Visited Kori Nuclear Power Plant, △Marine Environment Research and Training Institute, △CJ CheilJedang, and △Korea Exchange in Busan
 
Korea University Business School’s Korea MBA (KMBA) hosted the Spring 2016 Domestic Field Trip from April 30 to May 2 in Busan. Professor Yong Keun Yoo and 91 KMBA students attended the field trip this semester. The KMBA students visited △Kori Nuclear Power Plant, △Marine Environment Research and Training Institute, △CJ CheilJedang, and △Korea Exchange, and had an opportunity to obtain business perspectives at industrial sites in Korea’s second city, Busan.
 
 
On the first day, a special lecture “The Current Status of the Port of Busan and Its Development Strategy” was given at Kori Nuclear Power Plant. Afterwards, the students wore personal protective equipment and simulated how to clean up nuclear contamination. They explored △Marine Environment Research and Training Institute on the second day and △CJ CheilJedang and △Korea Exchange, located in Nam District, on the last day.
 
 
In addition to that, the KMBS students visited Yonggungsa, one of the tourist attractions in Busan, and also went on a cruise in Haeundae while enjoying Busan’s culture and its atmosphere. “I was able to learn many things by exploring the industries in Busan,” The field trip participant Woo Tae Cho (KMBA, ’16) said. “This field trip has allowed me to interact with the professor and other KMBA students even closer.”
