March 25th ‘Book Crossing Day’ hosted by Sudang Library

The KUBS information library, the Sudang Digital Library hosted the “KUBS Book Crossing Day’ on March 25th and distributed to students books donated by KUBS Faculty, students and organizations.

Already into its third year, the event was first planned in 2008 with the aim of strengthening ties among KUBS members and promoting the culture of giving.

Students taking part in the event could receive two books per person on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, students receiving the latest textbook were entitled to only one book.

Students donating books received an exchange coupon that allowed them to exchange a book for another book. For general books, only one coupon was needed but for the latest textbooks two coupons were needed.

Ji-Hae Choi, the librarian of the Sudang Digital Library said “We organized this event to awaken the knowledge hidden away in the bookshelves of our KUBS family members. I think it is meaningful to start the new semester by sharing books with other people.”
