2014.03.06

Executive MBA(EMBA) 11th visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (hereafter HKUST) for the International Residence Program(hereafter IRP).
This trip was from January 5th to the 11th, with 50 students, along with several faculty members like Hosun Rhim and Seung Weon Yoo. Students who attended this trip took lectures of the faculty at HKUST and went sightseeing to historical spots of Hong Kong.

Classes at HKUST were conducted by the actual faculty members of the Graduate School of Business at HKUST. Students had a chance to enhance their understandings about China through lectures and discussions on social issues and economic flow of China, and localization strategy. "The Chinese government still has much control on politics, economics, law, culture and religion, therefore deep understanding of the system and the culture of China should come first." said Student Sangwoo Choi.

Students also visited South China Morning Post (SCMP), which holds a strong position as an English newspaper in the "News and Media" industries in Hong Kong. Through this trip, students had the time to increase understanding of the operating system. Hosun Rhim, the chairman, said "EMBA has conducted IRP every semester to make sure that students enhance their understandings of global business.”

The KUBS MBA program provides full support to students who partake in international programs so that they can foster their global sense and become global businessmen. Especially, the KU EMBA program, which is currently in its 12th year, is the only program to independently take 22th place in 2013 and 12th place in 2012 in the ‘World 100 MBA’ of the UK Financial Times.
