Student of Management Receives KSBV Best Paper Award
On November 5, Ju Hee Kim (Ph.D. student of Management), Professor Dae Il Nam, and Ji Hye Jeong (M.S. student of Management) received the Best Paper Award at the 2016 Korean Society of Business Venturing Fall Conference. The award paper was entitled “Does In-bound FDI Increase Firm Innovation? An Organizational Learning Perspective.”
The authors empirically analyzed how Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) affects product and process innovation, using organizational learning. Based on the combined data from Science and Technology Policy Institute and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, the paper concludes that FDI positively affects product innovation while organization innovation acts as a mediator in the relationship between FDI and product innovation.
“I want to thank my advisor and co-author Ji Hye Jeong who have always supported me throughout the whole process,” Ju Hee Kim said. “I will continue to work diligently on my research so that I can return the favor by producing better research performance.”
