Fudan University MBA, GIP Held
"The 2016 Global Immersion Program for Fudan University (GIP)," organized by Korea University Business School, was held for five days from July 25 through July 29. Fudan University, a public institution located in Shanghai, is widely known for the prestigious university in China. The GIP is an overseas training program where students from foreign MBA programs can study in the best business school in Korea.
“We organized the GIP to accommodate the demand of international students who are greatly interested in Korean business,” KUBS Associate Dean Myeong-Hyeon Cho told. The international students who have visited KUBS expanded their knowledge by taking Business Administration lectures and touring around Korean companies. The campus tour was also held on the first day. The following lectures were delivered at the GIP: △Doing Business in Korea(Professor Tony Garrett), △Understanding Korean Management (Professor Mannsoo Shin), △Operations and Supply Chain Strategies of Korean Firms (Professor DaeSoo Kim), △Korean Chaebols: Its Origin, Growth, and Current Issues (Professor Woochan Kim), and △Korean wave past& future (Professor Janghyuk Lee).
In addition, the MBA students from Fudan University visited companies, such as △Samsung Innovation Museum, △Story Garden by AMOREPACIFIC, △Hyundai Motor Company Asan Plant, and △Hyundai Steel Dangjin Factory, in order to understand competitive industries of cosmetics, steels, automobiles, etc. in Korea. “I was very delighted to take lectures at Korea University Business School through the GIP,” MBA student Robert Lu from Fudan University said. “It was informative to learn about industries by visiting the companies in Korea.”
