New Faculty Appointed at KUBS for Spring 2016
 
Korea University Business School has additionally appointed a new professor for Spring 2016. Professor Cecile Cho will be conducting a research and teaching courses starting Spring 2016. Professor Cho's research interests focus on consumer behavior. Her primary areas of interest are consumer motivation, its consequences on preference judgment and post-purchase behavior, including satisfaction and sequential goal setting in the domain of financial decision making. In another research stream, she examines impact of motivation on choice behavior under uncertainty, with a particular focus on consumers of emerging markets.
 
Professor Cho received her Ph.D. in Marketing from Columbia University and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. She has also attended Harvard College and Princeton University for her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Russian Studies. Prior to coming to SKK GSB, she has taught Consumer Behavior at undergraduate and graduate levels at University of California Riverside. She has also taught Marketing Management, Retailing and Luxury Marketing at SKK GSB. She has spent the 2009-2010 academic year at Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO's research institute in Beijing, conducting research on consumer behavior in emerging markets.
 
Meanwhile, Professor Cho’s research has been published in Journal of Consumer Research and cited widely in popular media, such as Financial Times, Forbes and
Inc.
