Role Purpose
The role of the New Client Development is to help lead the prospecting, identifying and closing of new business for Wood Mackenzie's petrochemical research and consulting products and services across North Asia.
Key objectives include:
Target, prospect, identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities and execute the practices necessary to successfully open doors and close opportunities
Building profitable new petrochemical focussed research and consulting business with clients and prospects in Korea with the scope to expand across North Asia.

Role Purpose
The role of the New Client Development is to help lead the prospecting, identifying and closing of new business for Wood Mackenzie's petrochemical research and consulting products and services across North Asia.
Key objectives include:
Target, prospect, identify, evaluate, and prioritize new business opportunities and execute the practices necessary to successfully open doors and close opportunities
- Collaborate with research, consultancy, marketing and account teams to ensure professional standards are met at all times
Building profitable new petrochemical focussed research and consulting business with clients and prospects in Korea with the scope to expand across North Asia.
Responsibilities
- Ensure research sales (renewal and new business) targets are achieved.
- Conceive and execute effective promotional and prospecting programmes to increase awareness of Wood Mackenzie among qualified prospects
- Effectively negotiate contractual terms for new business and ensure that Wood Mackenzie receives contracts on time
- Promote Wood Mackenzie in line with the company strategy, business plans and values
- Help lead petrochemical research product and sector/segment knowledge and expertise in the region
- Attend relevant industry events to pursue new business opportunities
- Work to transition new business accounts to the appropriate account team
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Years of new business development, sales and industry experience preferably achieved within a professional services and ideally petrochemical/chemical sectors environment
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and outstanding presentation abilities
- Natural influencing and organisational skills
- Sound judgment and interpersonal skills
- Rapid comprehension and retention of information
- Demonstrated understanding of strategic marketing, business and financial principles
- Ability to demonstrate bigger picture understanding of client's marketing or business strategy
- Ability to consume and interpret research and build actionable insights that align to client objectives
- Solution-oriented thinking: anticipate client questions and has well thought-out answers
- Ability to represent and promote Wood Mackenzie in a professional manner and demonstrate value added service to clients
- Experience with CRM systems such as SFDC will be looked on in favorable terms
