Job Description : J.P. Morgan is currently seeking undergraduate applicants for our Corporate Summer Internship Program in Korea.
You will be working with a team of distinctive professionals in one of the fastest growing regions. Internship Opportunities
: The goal of Corporate Internship is to provide a realistic career experience for those who have an interest in financial services operations. This program is an investment in our future and your own. If you perform consistently in the environment, you will be considered for an analyst role in the Corporate Analyst Development Program after graduation.
You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this Internship is designed to give a comprehensive view of the firm and the impact you can have on its success. The learning curve will be steep and you’ll need to immerse yourself in the role, business and firm quickly as you work. You will be placed in a department working with some of our Project Manager, Program Manager, Business Reporting Analyst, Risk and Control Specialist, Operations Supervisor, Process Improvement Specialist, Sales Analyst, Client Service Officer and Product Analyst.
Our Business Areas
: You’ll be expected to take on the responsibilities of a functional role in any of the following areas:
Core Operations/Production - A rotation in Core Operations/Production will help build your operational knowledge through understanding and managing process workflows. You’ll be involved in transaction processing and settlements, investigations and reconciliation, reporting, documentation, client service and on-boarding. Core Operations/Production will help you understand the upstream and downstream impacts on the process as well as the critical role Technology plays in supporting Operations.
Analytics, Management Information Systems & Business Management - In this discipline, Analysts support the critical metrics and analytics functions that help drive strategic decisions and manage the firms Operations. Your responsibilities might include data analysis and presentation of findings, budgeting and forecasting, capacity management, and business performance management, including key indicators such as error rates and volumes.
Project Management & Process Improvement - Projects can vary in scope from developing strategic solutions for key infrastructure initiatives to tactical implementation of new processes. Process Improvement responsibilities are similar to projects in that you’ll tackle existing processes and define ways to improve their efficiency, in addition to implementing change management plans.
Operational Risk and Control - Effective risk and control management is essential to our firm. As part of a dynamic regulatory environment, an Operational Risk & Control rotation provides Analysts with exposure to end-to-end operational risk controls, such as identifying risks, risk reporting, control policies, internal audits and the critical role of information security and data privacy.
Sales support & client services- In this role you would support to the Customer Service Managers to deliver quality services to the customers. This could include handling inquiries and transactional services for Customers pertaining to their Account Maintenance, Cash Management, Check, FX and Loan funding transactions.
Product- In this function you would help support the creation of new products or enhance existing product capabilities which involves working closely with Client Solutions team, the Technology and Operational groups, and key partners in both Global and Corporate Treasury groups, so as to ensure that our clients’ needs are met.
Qualifications:
-Degree qualified with solid academic background, with a natural enthusiasm for financial services industry
-Analytical and can work with high degree of accuracy and has strong attention to details
-Good project management and problem solving skills
-A strong team player who communicates well, is proactive, responsive and can thrive in a team environment
-Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
-Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
-Fluency in English is essential
Graduating and available to work in 2015
