Cross-Border Investment Team Recruiting (Analyst / Associate)

 

1. Opportunity:

Hana AIM is looking for a highly qualified junior investment professional to support the Investment Team in expanding the Firm’s global real estate portfolio (North America, Western Europe and Australia).

 

Established in 2009 as a JV by the Hana Bank Group and local real estate specialists, Hana AIM is a licensed Korean Real Estate Investment Trust (K-REIT) and one of Korea’s first REIT AMCs. Expansion of Hana AIM’s overseas business is a primary near-term strategic focus for the Firm.

 

2. Responsibilities:

1) Collaborating directly with the Firm’s CEO and foreign investment partners on sourcing, assessing and executing foreign real estate investments

2) Market-level due-diligence (e.g. macro economy, comparable transactions, leasing)

3) Investment-level due-diligence (e.g. structure, cash flow / returns analysis, asset diligence)

4) Drafting transaction materials to facilitate investment committee and counterparty decision-making (e.g. Teaser, Information Memorandum, LOI, Term Sheet)

5) Cultivating relationships with existing and new foreign investment partners

 

3. Requirements:

1) 2-3 years of full-time experience in a related field, preferably overseas (e.g. finance, consulting, real estate, accounting)

2) 4-year undergraduate degree from a reputable university, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. finance, economics, engineering, math)

3) Highly proficient in business-English communication, both written and verbal

(Korean proficiency preferred, but not required)

4) Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Powerpoint

5) Highly proficient in financial modeling and investment due-diligence

6) Strong investment / quantitative acumen, professionalism and independent thinking

7) Strong passion for real estate markets and developing traditional investment expertise

8) Strong ability to persevere in high-pressure and challenging situations

 

 

4. Employment Status, Compensation, Location:

1) Employment Status: following a 6-month Grace Period, Full-Time status will be granted upon mutual satisfaction between candidate and Hana AIM (exceptional performers will be granted Full-Time status prior to completion of Grace Period)

2) Compensation: compensation will be market-conform (may be adjusted depending on work experience, fit and overall qualifications)

3) Location: Seocho-Dong, Seoul (10 minute walk from Nambu Bus Terminal Line 3)
