Interns will create their own marketing plan for the Android app, Nimble. Nimble allows its users to automatically change their phones settings based on location. If a user walks into class, Nimble can automatically silence their phone. If a user walks into their place of work, Nimble can automatically change the wallpaper of them partying with their friends to something more professional; likewise, Nimble can also change their ringtone from whatever song or personalized ringtone theyve used, to a more professional ringtone. When the user leaves their place of work, Nimble automatically changes the phone back to the personalized settings (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elevateapps.elevate).
The first deliverable for the internship is a marketing plan. Interns will create their own marketing plan with the guidance and support of the NimbleApps marketing team. The marketing plan will typically be targeted towards the city and metropolitan area that the intern is currently located in. In addition to a metropolitan area, interns will be given key demographics which the marketing plan must target. Marketing plans must use low-cost high-yield channels to increase the local awareness of Nimble. Channels may include traditional media, social media, etc. This is an opportunity to think creatively and identify local resources which can be leveraged into increasing market awareness. Feedback and direction will be given throughout the process, helping the intern develop their marketing plan and skill set.
Once the marketing plan gains the approval of the marketing team, the intern will gain practical experience by executing their marketing plan. The intern will benefit from further advice and feedback as they execute their marketing plan.
This internship program allows an intern to gain allot of real world experience within a very short amount of time. High achieving individuals will be recognized through various awards, and offered a role in future marketing campaigns. Our goal is to continue to work with high achieving individuals until they graduate. Once these individuals graduate, we hope to offer them a job.
Qualifications
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate either academic or practical experience in marketing.
- Knowledge of local marketing channels.
- Strong skills and knowledge in social media and social networks.
- Strong communication skills.
