Curtis Baker, Regional Inclusino & Diversity and Employee Experience Lead, Asia-Pacific
Curtis Baker is the Asia Pacific Regional Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) and Employee Experience (EX) leader. In this combined role, Curtis is responsible for driving and implementing the Inclusion & Diversity + Employee Experience strategy and providing expertise, consultation and support to business, functional, and ERG leaders and EX change champions in the region. Collaborating with the businesses and functions on inclusion and employee experience interventions that lead to measurable results and long-term culture change, he also manages relationship support for I&D + EX partnerships and represent Dow externally consistent with the region’s outreach and thought leadership initiatives.
Curtis’ diversity and inclusion journey started as Curtis was the founder of the DisneyPRIDE Greater China (LGBTQ+ ERG) at both The Walt Disney Company Greater China and at Shanghai Disneyland Resort while also an active member of the Diversity & Inclusion Team for North Asia. This was the first ERG for Disney in the Asia Pacific region. He later moved to Shanghai Disney Resort as the Diversity & Inclusion lead prior to joining Dow. Curtis previously served on the ShanghaiPRIDE Executive Leadership team for 3 years helping to launch the first Out & Equal Roundtable in China in 2018 and continues to serve on the Out & Equal China Business Council. He holds a Diversity and Inclusion for HR certification from Cornell University. Curtis has been living in China for the past 8 years and finds the Asia Pacific region his new home.
Curtis obtained a B.A. in Public Relations from Murray State University, KY.
