Business Group Info:
The Partner Business Management team is chartered with helping Microsoft become more proactive and efficient in landing operational change with our managed partners. The Partner Business team, inside Asia Pacific Operations Center, (based in Singapore) is the organization responsible for:
- Enabling the partner ecosystem to transact in our new Go-To-Market motions
- Providing Program & Policy subject matter expertise & influencing future capability & design through insights
- Developing readiness plans to be delivered through a community model, including adoption & usage of self-serve tools to consume content
- Ensuring continuous improvement of our partners' operational performance
- Strategic partner management & interaction to accelerate their transformation to Cloud

Responsibilities
The Partner Business Manager (PBM) role is an Individual Contributor based in Seoul/ Singapore/ Beijing and is a key enabler to drive operational excellence and readiness in our large managed partner ecosystem. The candidate would be working with cross-functional international teams (often virtual) comprised of full-time employees. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence change, drive results through insights & build stakeholder relationships.
The expected impact from this role includes:
Partner Enablement and Change Management (Launch)
- Creating a framework for partner engagement through a 1-to-many community model to provide right information at the right time
- Delivery of Partner readiness and enablement for new Go-To-Market motions (e.g. new products, services, offerings)
- Based on customer & partner feedback, provide critical, business impacting insights to influence Design, & Customer or Partner Experience
Continuous improvements through data-driven insights
- Gather quantitative and qualitative insights from Subsidiary stakeholders and Partners to improve processes, capabilities, programs, and/or readiness content
- Continuous monitoring of partner effectiveness & driving remediation plans
- Influence policy changes and optimization that allows customers & partners to do business with Microsoft easily
Policy & Program Inputs
- Provide consultation to peer groups consisting of Operations Deal Managers and BPO Support teams on complex policy and program related matters & be responsible for approving exceptions
- Support critical month-end and quarter-end rhythms through such policy exceptions allowing deals to get processed
Stakeholder Engagement
- Working with Subsidiary One Commercial Partner (OCP) team to determine Partner engagement plans, enablement opportunities and align on strategic imperatives

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field (Operations, Accounting, Finance or IT) or equivalent experience. Masters Degree desirable.
- Fluent in BOTH Korean and English is a requirement, even if the role is based in Singapore
