CoreValue Investment Co., Ltd. ("CVIC") is a value investor looking for opportunities in primarily Korean equities on behalf of like-minded foreign investors such as US endowments and pension funds. CVIC manages a focused portfolio with investments in select best ideas only. We are looking for an eager intern to join our research team to perform fundamental, bottom-up research.
 
Jinwoo Jo, the founder and Chief Investment Officer of CVIC, has over 20 years of experience in hedge fund, private equity and strategic consulting. His past work experience and educational background are as follows:
- Managing Partner & co-CIO, V&S Investment
- Managing Director, Neoplux Private Equity
- Senior Research Analyst, Chilton Investment
- Director, Scion Capital Management
- Associate, UBS Capital
- Associate Consultant, The Boston Consulting Group
- MBA, University of Chicago
- BA in Psychology and Business Administration, Seoul National University
 
Desired qualifications:
- Proactive, willingness-to-learn attitude
- Interest and passion for equity investment
- Independent thinker
- Basic/working knowledge of financial accounting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in English is desired but not a must
- In penultimate or ultimate year of graduation
 
Minimum 3 months of commitment - ideally 6 months - is required.
Internship at CVIC comes with an added benefit of being a preferred candidate for full-time analyst position after graduation.
 
Our office is located near Samseong stn. line no. 2.
