Description
The Investment Analyst is responsible for supporting senior analyst and consultants in delivery of client work and supporting business development activities.
Job Responsibilities and Day-to-Day tasks:
- Client support: Respond to clients’ daily queries and escalate to relevant internal parties including senior team members to resolve the queries in a timely manner.
- Produce written material on Mercer Investments capabilities and service offering with support by senior sales professionals
- Regular investment performance monitoring reporting: Contact fund managers, utilise in-house proprietary tools and databases to create the client deliverable for review by senior team members
- Project work: Work with guidance from senior team members on investment related analysis, utilising historical performance databases like Bloomberg and in-house capital asset models to develop investment advice on client’s long-term investment objectives
- Balance work requirements, client demand with self-study for professional qualifications supported by Mercer.
- Receive instructions from team members and interpret them accurately to produce the desired outcome or output.
Qualifications
Characteristics of the candidate:
- Degree qualified and/or post graduate qualification preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field.
- Strong communication skills in English and Korean, both written and verbal. Mandarin or Cantonese skills will be a bonus
- Ability to think analytically and interpret information related to investment products.
- Attention to detail whether to analysis, look-and-feel of written material
- Good command on MS Office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word, Outlook). Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Proactive approach at work in expressing new ideas, suggestions, offering and receiving feedback.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients from all backgrounds
- Strong presentation skills or interest in developing those skills further
- Interested in a consulting career and interest in investing demonstrated to running of own portfolio or knowledge of current market events and what it means to investing.
- Interested in working in a team
