Job Description

J.P. Morgan Alternative Asset Management (JPMAAM) has been dedicated to the management of hedge fund products and solutions for 20 years. With 80 professionals globally and approximately $12.6 billion in assets, JPMAAM offers a broad range of products and capabilities to help investors achieve their strategic hedge fund and asset allocation objectives. These solutions include, but are not limited to, multi-manager/multi-strategy portfolios, strategy specific portfolios such as equity or credit focused, and other specialized strategies. The client solutions group is responsible for sales, relationship management and acts as product specialist for the hedge fund group.

The CPM based at the JPMAAM Singapore Asian regional office is responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of a wide-variety of client-service activities, as well as supporting business development efforts. The position reports to the Head of Asia Client Strategies.

Client-servicing responsibilities include:
Preparation of periodic client portfolio reviews and presentations

Preparation of portfolio & manager commentary for retail liquid-alternatives products
Preparation of periodic analytical and due-diligence materials for clients and consultants
Notification and advice to clients of changes to managers in their portfolios
Participation in periodic in-person and telephone updating of clients on portfolio changes/performance, as well as in-depth strategy and manager discussions.
Pro-actively responding to ad-hoc inquiries from clients or internal sales professionals about any aspect of a client’s investments

Business Development responsibilities center on working with the Regional Head to substantially grow AuM and retain existing business. Responsibilities include:

RFP Preparation
Preparation and updating of marketing presentations and pitchbooks
Work with senior sales professionals to help win and retain business
Competitive benchmarking, market research and prospecting
Participation in development of new products and services

Qualifications

3 – 5 years financial markets experience in financial markets, preferably with hedge funds or fund-of-hedge funds
Strong team-player with ability to work independently, as Singapore office covers countries from Australia to Korea with frequent travel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Mandarin-language skills a plus
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to learn proprietary software and databases
BS/BA with strong quantitative skills
CAIA, CFA or working toward
