Corporate Analyst Development Program (CADP) – Summer Internship - Job Description
J.P. Morgan is currently seeking penultimate undergraduate or postgraduate degree applicants for our Corporate Summer Internship Program in Korea.
You will be working with a team of distinctive professionals in one of the fastest growing regions. Internship Opportunities
The goal of Corporate Analyst Development Program Internship is to provide a realistic career experience for those who have an interest in financial services. This program is an investment in our future and your own. If you perform consistently in the environment, you will be considered for an analyst role in the Corporate Analyst Development Program after graduation. The CADP develops well-rounded future leaders through business-aligned rotations and structured training.
You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this Internship is designed to give a comprehensive view of the firm and the impact you can have on its success. The learning curve will be steep and you’ll need to immerse yourself in the role, business and firm quickly as you work. You’ll find a supportive team behind you, encouraging you to succeed in every challenge. This is an outstanding first step towards building a dynamic, long-term career as a leader and manager.
You will be placed in a department working with some of our Project Manager, Business System Analysts, Infrastructure System Analysts, Business Reporting Analyst, Risk and Control Specialist, Operations Supervisor, Process Improvement Specialist, Sales Analyst, Client Service Officer and Corporate bankers.
Our Business Areas
You’ll be expected to take on the responsibilities of a functional role in any of the following areas, at the same time you will have a good understanding of other functions through education workshop and senior leaders sharing:
Treasury Services – This is a core line of business in the front office offering cash and liquidity management, trade finance, clearing and other transaction banking products. Analysts in this product group will support Managers to deliver quality products and services to clients.
Equity Research –This supports the Cash Equities sales and distribution business offering clients a full range of equity research. With an on the ground research team made up of experienced professionals covering a wide range of sectors, including banking, technology, gaming, construction, properties, infrastructure, power and plantations.
Core Operations - A rotation in Core Operations will help build your operational knowledge through understanding and managing process workflows. You’ll be involved in transaction processing and settlements, investigations and reconciliation, reporting, documentation, client service and on-boarding.
Project Management & Process Improvement - Projects can vary in scope from developing strategic solutions for key infrastructure initiatives to tactical implementation of new processes. Process Improvement responsibilities are similar to projects in that you’ll tackle existing processes and define ways to improve their efficiency.
Asset Management - You will gain understanding on how we create and distribute investment management products, while acquiring skills in sales and client management.
Sales support & client services- You would support the Customer Service Managers to deliver quality services to the customers. This could include handling inquiries and transactional services for Customers pertaining to their Account Maintenance, Cash Management, Check, FX and Loan funding transactions
What we are looking for?
We look for interns with a long-term interest in a management/ leadership role across a range of functions, primarily within the infrastructure businesses.
•Degree or masters qualified with solid academic background, with an enthusiasm for financial services industry
•GPA 3.2 out of 4.0 or equivalent
•Eagerness to embrace, thrive in and drive change
•Analytical with an aptitude for numbers and an ability to digest large amounts of information and use it to develop innovative solutions
•Good project management and problem solving skills
•A strong team player who communicates well, is proactive, responsive and can thrive in a team environment
•Fluency in English plus the local language of the respective country is essential
•Graduating and available to take on a full time role in February 2016
•Possess valid working permit for the respective location applied
Internship period: June 22 - August 28, 2015
