Job Description :  2014 Private Bank Summer Associate Program

As a Summer Associate in the Private Bank, you will have the opportunity to work as a fundamental member of an integrated business team. You will have significant responsibility and work closely with experienced senior professionals throughout the firm. During the ten-week internship program, Summer Associates participate in training classes, senior speaker series, market discussions and networking opportunities; all of which are geared toward providing extensive exposure to the multiple aspects of the firm. Summer Associates work with a dedicated program management group who provide guidance and feedback throughout the summer. The internship program is an ideal way to meet the people who make the Private Bank a success, and it also provides an opportunity to experience our unique culture and to learn about our full-time opportunities. We hire most of our full-time Associates from our Summer Associate class.



Program overview
:The program begins with one week of orientation followed by an assignment to a specific team within the Private Bank. Each Summer Associate will have the opportunity to experience the primary roles within J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s integrated team: Banker Associate, Investments Associate and Global Product Specialist.

*Depending on your role, your responsibilities may include:

Associate Bankers provide support to Bankers in all facets. The Banker is the face of JPMorgan’s Private Banking business. The Banker Associate assists Bankers in new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning.
Investments Associates Support the Investor desk to lead the investment dialogue with clients, and ensure that the proper individual investment plan is created and executed.  This includes speaking and assisting in the execution of opportunistic investment solutions across all major asset classes.


 

Qualifications:  We seek first-year MBA candidates who are
 -highly motivated, with a deep passion and interest in the financial markets.
-Candidates must be assertive and demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
-Other essential qualities include the ability to work on teams and build relationships, work well with clients and colleagues in an intense environment, and demonstrate strong quantitative and technical skills.
-Fluency in English with one other Asian language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Hindi) is essential in addition to cultural knowledge.
