Job Description
:J.P. Morgan is currently seeking undergraduate applicants for our Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Work Attachment Programs in our wholesale business in the Asia Pacific offices.
Work Attachment Program:
You may assume significant responsibility right from the start by participating in live transactions and in idea generation sessions with a view towards marketing them to clients and working closely with experienced senior professionals. You may learn how capital flows from the world's largest institutional investors to its most prominent borrowers and issuers. This is a great way for you to meet the people who make J.P. Morgan a success, to experience our unique culture and to learn from your seniors on the team.
What you may be doing
Your exposure may include:
- Conducting industry and product research
- Preparing presentation materials
- Building and using financial models
- Provide marketing ideas to clients and help initiate transactions
- Assist the senior traders in managing risk, liquidity and exposure
- Financial and credit analysis, modelling, project management, research, portfolio reviews
- Undertake review of an industry or sector
- Preparing credit proposals and developing means to mitigate against identified risks
- Presenting recommendations to credit executives / senior colleagues based on the analysis done
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with strong academic background, with a natural enthusiasm for financial services industry
- Analytical and can work with high degree of accuracy and has strong attention to details
- Flexible in coping with change and high in energy and enthusiasm
- Good project management and problem solving skills
- Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure
- Able to interpret, analyze and understand a company’s financial statements, including cash flow and ratio analysis
- Undergraduate students who are in their second or third year of university
- Applicants are required to have valid work authorization for the location they are hired into
Duration & Start date: 10-week program, from June – August 2013
