JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Sponsorship and Circulation Sales Manager will manage the P&L for

content and sponsorship sales in the country. This includes servicing existing

clients and expanding the client base in sales of FT content to institutional

customers (hospitality, airlines, education) as well as finding corporate

sponsors for sponsored copy programs. You will have intimate knowledge of

each account, the users, the influencers and decision makers. In addition to

maintaining existing profits, you are responsible for growing revenues and

facilitating new business opportunities for the Financial Times’ push in to

eReaders and other digital opportunities.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Increase revenue and quantities in your market in line with forecasts.

 

 

Sponsorship Sales

Identify and engage new corporate clients and advertising agencies

Drive revenue through sales of sponsored content programs into airlines, airline

lounges, hotels, service apartments, private clubs or other creative venues.

Identify main conferences, seminars and exhibitions where paid copies of The FT

will be displayed and made available for delegates at exhibition or in hotels.

Coordinate copy placement approval for large-scale high-profile summits

Liase with client and printer on printing and delivery of collateral

 

 

Institutional Sales (Hotels, Airlines, Education, Other)

Maintain and expand content revenues to institutional clients both new and

renewal.

Develop new revenue via new clients and new digital ideas for existing clients

Maintain contact database and call report of all clients and prospects.

Manage day-to-day business relationship with customers.

 

 

Administrative Duties

Contribute to quarterly forecasts.

Ensure timely monitoring of weekly and monthly volumes.

Manage eReader relationship with distribution partners and find new

opportunities.

Work with the regional team (and sometimes global team) to reach regional

and global targets through regional and sponsorship deals

Marketing support/insights for the market to feedback to regional HK including

competitive activities in-market.

 

 

• Weekly sales call

• Quarterly performance review

• Position is base salary plus quarterly sales commission

 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

 

 

Qualifications / Competencies / Skills / Experience

Proven track record in sales (3-5 years of advertising or media sales

experience preferred)

Great time management skills and ability to meet customer visit targets

(>5 per week)

Loves and listens to customers to build collaborative and profitable

customer relationships

Detail oriented

Energetic and dynamic with high level of initiative and self motivation

Good communication skills in both English and Korean - Business

Level Korean/Business Conversation Level in English

Must be a team player - Able to work with team members and other

departments courteously to get things done within the organization

MSWord, Excel and Powerpoint will be used on a daily basis
