MIRA is the largest manager of infrastructure and real assets in the world with ~ 114 billion in assets under management across 26 countries through 32 funds as at September 2014. Macquarie Korea Asset Management (MKAM) is a licensed wholly-owned fund manager of MIRA in Korea with a license to manage infrastructure and real estate assets. MKAM currently manages 4 funds and approximately A$4 billion of equity across 17 infrastructure/real estate businesses in Korea.

We are looking to recruit a Manager or a Senior Manager to join the MIRA team based in Seoul. In this role you will work in a fast paced, challenging environment where you will be exposed to activities associated with fund management, corporate finance and capital markets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Day to day management of transactions which include investments, divestments, refinancing, etc.
• Support with origination of new investment and/or business opportunities.
• Management of existing fund assets by executing activities such as corporate governance control, asset valuation and performance analysis through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Review and approval of asset acquisitions including analysis of the impact of acquisitions and appropriate funding strategy.
• Working closely with other professional advisors in a transaction setting, including legal and financial advisors.
• Preparation of management reports and board materials.
• Preparation of marketing and investor relations materials for internal and external use.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Preferably have at least 6 years experience in investment banking or infrastructure/real estate sector with hands on experience in M&A activities.
• Be highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive and able to deliver against challenging targets with limited supervision and direction.
• Be a team player.
• Have strong analytical/numerical skills.
• Have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written English and Korean, and the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Have excellent spreadsheet skills including exposure to cash flow and ratio analysis.
• Have strong presentation skills.
• Have strong PowerPoint, Word and Bloomberg skills.
• Have a strong understanding of business issues and be commercially astute.
