4. Responsibilities:
-The Financial Data Analyst (FDA) will be responsible for reading and understanding financial statements, entering and preparing financial data into Moody's tools, and performing accounting adjustments for data that is used by ratings Analysts within Moody's Investor Service.
-FDAs work together as a team to ensure timeliness of data and perform ongoing monitoring of data quality.
-FDAs regularly interact with Moody's Analysts with regards to financial data needed for analysis and publications.
-The team is responsible for learning and understanding financial statements. In addition to regular daily responsibilities, FDAs will have the opportunity to work on new projects.
-The team is regularly provided with valuable training classes and interaction with Analysts as part of career growth.
-The FDA position provides a unique opportunity to foster skills that are valuable to any future career in the financial services industry.
5. Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and particularly Excel.
- Knowledge or prior experience analyzing financial statements is a plus.
- Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills are required to work as a team and for daily interaction with Moody's Analysts.
- Candidate must display maturity and ability to quickly transition as priorities change to meet demands.
-Attention to detail is necessary as is precision of work due to the nature of this specific position.
-Project Management skills are a plus.
Language fluency in one of the following languages is needed:
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Mandarin
- Russian
- Italian
- French
- German
- Japanese
- Korean
