1. Position Description
Contract Based General Researcher (Temporary Researcher) at Research & Information Department, Seoul Office, McKinsey & Company 
(The position can be transferred to a full-time position depending on performance and research work demand in Seoul Office)




2. Key responsibilities
Based in Seoul Korea, the successful candidate is responsible for research and data gathering on diverse local markets. He/she will work on a contract basis for minimum 6 months and will be extended until 1 year.
 


3. The role of the researcher includes
- Secondary research, to gather published information
-Primary research, mainly through interviewing/visiting
- Short memo writing
- Statistical and text editing
- Administrative support for R&I team

-Good written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English
- Work experience (minimum 1 year), preferably in research related field
- Good understanding of economics, financials, and general business concepts and terminology
- Computer literacy with good experience of spreadsheet, database and word processing software - ideally Excel, Word and Power-point
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional attitude and service orientation; team player with positive mindset
- Could work independently with minimum guidance and perform multiple tasks withflexibility, good negotiation and prioritization skills
