Job Description
Treasury is a Corporate function under Global Finance that is responsible for the Funding and Liquidity risk management of the Firm. The Asia team is comprised of a market-based function executed with the objective of minimizing the cost of funding for the Firm, insuring access to sufficient liquidity for all entities through all market conditions.
The Asia Treasury CFO/COO team is part of the Treasury Front Office whose goals are to ensure a sound control environment and to provide financial advisory as well as business management support for Treasury.
Job functions/responsibilities
This Analyst/Associate position will be part of the Asia Treasury CFO/COO team. The primary responsibility includes providing support for the Treasury CFO/COO in ensuring the integrity and validity of the financials and controls for the business as well performing critical reporting functions for Treasury. This position also provides the candidate with an opportunity to build up exposure in business management areas.
Key Responsibilities
· Involves in various financial and accounting control areas include but not limited to
· month-end performance reconciliation process
· General Ledger Reconciliation and Substantiation (GLRS)
· revenue and expense analysis
· SOX testing coordination
· Control Self-Assessment (CSA) coordination;
· Provides MIS reporting and analytical support to the Treasury CFO/COO on areas such as business performance, regulatory reporting, annual budgeting and
forecasting, and liquidity & funding related analysis;
· Interacts extensively with various groups within the transaction cycle (Middle Office, Back Office, Trade Support, Technology, etc) to resolve product control
issues;
· Participates in the rollout of Treasury’s initiatives and ad hoc projects;
· Assists Treasury CFO/COO on other business management responsibilities
Qualifications
Essential skills/experience
· Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Strong team spirit with ability to work with a diverse group of business / functional partners with different cultural backgrounds
· Strong control mindset
· Ability to work under pressure and on multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Strong in both written and verbal communication skills
· Strong proficiency in Excel (Macro is a plus), Word and Powerpoint
Preferred skills/experience
· Knowledge of JPM’s financial architecture / tools and applications is a plus
Language requirement
· Good command in English (written and verbal)
