Description

RiskMetrics Group's Risk Management business has an immediate need for an experienced risk consultant to understand client’s business requirements, assist clients define their business needs, and find the best ways to fulfill these needs using RiskMetrics’ set of financial risk solutions, in particular CreditManager.  This role will require you to interact with clients, sales people, and account managers throughout the entire business life cycle: pre-sales, implementation, post implementation consultancy and training. The role will primarily be covering the Asia-Pacific markets.

Since this role requires translating business needs to deliverable solutions, it provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop expertise in both the theory and the practice of risk management, in particular Credit Risk Management.  In addition, it is highly desirable for the candidate to have prior experience in managing projects as well as clients' expectations.  The position will require travel to meet with clients, as well as office-to-office travel.

 

Responsibilities:


  • Assist sales people translate prospect’s business requirements into a deal-winning deliverable framework, and present these solutions internally and to clients.
  • Devise solutions (pre-sales, post sales and implementation) to answer prospect and clients needs using RiskMetrics’ existing technology.
  • Translate clients and prospects’ requirements into functional specs, which can be used for defining the future shape of our products.
  • Create and deliver sellable consultancy and training programs to existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of credit risk methodologies, drivers/environment and credit risk related regulations, in particular Pillar II and III of the Basel II accord.
  • Additional experience in other areas of financial risk management will be an advantage.
  • Quantitative background and understanding of stochastic processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in delivering customizable software solutions; project management experience will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills (both internal and external, and both written and oral)
  • Team-oriented approach and the ability to work both independently and with multiple groups and skill sets.
  • Fluency in English is necessary while a good working knowledge of an Asian language will be an advantage.
