Aekyung Petrochemical’s headquarters is located in Seoul, Korea with a factory in Ulsan and an R&D facility in Deajun. We have a sales office in Hong Kong, two factories in China and one in Vietnam. Nearly 75% of our sales are from international customers. Our chemicals are used to produce different types of plastics, from every day plastics to industrial plastics.

You will be replacing an American who has held the position for 2.5yrs; this is an existing position, not a newly made one.

Position: Human Resources (75% HRD, 25% HRM)

Location: Guro Gu, Seoul

Language Skills: Must be a native English speaker, Korean is not mandatory

Status: Full Time – Permanent not contract (New, Experienced)

Education: Master’s degree (all areas of study)

Requirements:

A good understanding of Microsoft office (Excel & Power Point)

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with numerous internal departments and external companies are critical.

Have a can-do attitude and motivation to continually improve our company culture

Be business savvy, a background of chemicals in not required.

Tasks: You will be responsible for you own tasks, sometimes dealing with people who speak English at very low levels!!

√Developing a language program that includes English, Chinese & Japanese.

-Includes: recruiting teachers, interviews, paying, negotiate salaries, etc.

√ Developing events to boost our company morale

√ Help organize both educational and entertaining company workshops

√ Paying basic bills using our company network system

√Continue to grow our international staff by recruiting throughout Korea

√ Both maintain and improve our e-learning programs to better support the

employees

√Be willing to be flexible when others require the help of the international staff for

a specific project

√You will participate in educational workshops throughout Korea

√Read some Korean as most of the documents are in Korean

√ Be out going, learn everyone’s name, build relationships, make all the employees comfortable with you

√ You are HR, you duty is the find the perfect balance between supporting the staff and guiding them to success

This is a full time permanent position. Salary is negotiable. All basic benefits will be offered.
