The Scholarship for the Master of China Studies Program (Chinese Business Studies Track)

Zhejiang University has a 120-year history, having been founded in 1897. It is located in Zhejiang Province, one of the world’s leading centers of the digital economy and home to Alibaba and Ant Group. In terms of rankings, we are #45 in the world and #5 in Asia (QS University Rankings).

The scholarship includes: a full tuition waiver for the Master of China Studies Program at Zhejiang University. The program is built on two interdisciplinary tracks: Chinese Business Studies (CBS) and Chinese Culture and Society (CCS).

The program is designed to foster professional knowledge of China’s economy, financial markets, corporate management, culture, and society, delivering a profound and integrated vision of China with a global perspective. It offers opportunities for students to gain exposure to the business climate of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Yangtze River Delta Area, combining business studies with direct exposure to Chinese business and international management culture. Students will benefit from internships, as well as corporate mentors from global enterprises and leading Chinese companies. Through the Chinese Language course offered as part of the program, students will obtain proficiency in Mandarin.

Given the complex situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic, ZIBS has prepared a hybrid mode for the term beginning in Autumn 2022. On-site teaching will be available for students who can travel to China and be on campus by the end August 2022; online teaching will be available for those who cannot.

The President, Vice-Chancellor, head of the international relations office, head of school or department, the student’s supervisor or equivalent may nominate one or two candidates from each university. We understand that each university has a different approval process. Therefore, it is possible to accept nominations not issued by the above-listed positions.
